Connecting the Dots

In hearing the different presentations concerning different aspects of media and how it all fits together, I was struck by the thought that media is just that, interconnected and intertwined.  There isn't really one aspect of media that isn't somehow influenced by other aspects.  Technology affects our where we go and how we get there, it keeps track of where we are and where we've been, etc.  In thinking about my part of my group's presentation on media concerning why media is being demonized in our society, it made me really think about why people both love and hate the media.  I think that the fact that it is time consuming and so easily accessible really bothers a lot of people, which then leads them to think that all forms of media everywhere are bad and evil.  It's not the media's fault that it is capable of what we see happening, it's pilot error and how we as consumers use and abuse media that is the problem.
