Mission Statement:
In
order to meet fellow DSU students and make some good food along the way, Derek Castro
and Hannah Folks want to invite you to The Country College Kitchen. This is an exclusive breakfast experience
where on Saturday mornings twice a month, students of Dixie State University
can come and enjoy some good old fashioned country favorites straight from a
home kitchen while getting to know some of their fellow classmates. With only 6-8 seats available, it is a first
come, first serve basis with a reservation of a seat required. It’s all the home-cooked food you can hold, a
chance to meet new friends in a casual, homey atmosphere and connect on a college budget, so we hope to see you
around the kitchen table!
Reservations can be made through Instagram, Email or
Facebook. Suggested donation of $4 (or
whatever you can spare) to help with food cost.
Persona 1: Kelly is from
Iowa and a freshman this semester at Dixie State University; she is enjoying
her classes but misses the home-cooked meals and atmosphere of home. She’s tired of always eating out or in her
dorm, and wants the warm, inviting atmosphere of enjoying good food in a family
environment.
Persona 2: Greg is on the typical college budget and is
getting tired of always resorting to pop tarts for breakfast; he can’t really
afford to always go out for a good full breakfast, but he needs to diversify
with his food choices while at the same time not breaking the bank.
Persona 3: Sadie
loves to meet new people and socialize over good food every once in a while,
but she doesn’t really know how to reach out to people who might be interested
in that as well. She would love to meet
people besides her classmates, but in smaller groups, as well as be able to
have a quiet place to study.
